Celebrating 20 years of excellence
OUR HISTORY
2004 - UCW Founded
University Canada West was established under the written consent of the BC Minister of Advanced Education. The first president is Dr. David Strong, former president of UVic.
2005 - UCW Officially opens
UCW is officially opened by Minister of Advanced Education Murray Coell at an official opening ceremony.
2014 - UCW Moves to West Pender
UCW moved its campus to the historic London Building. 400 students were enrolled in its on-campus and online programs.
2020 - Vancouver House Campus opens
UCW opened a second Vancouver campus at the state-of-the-art Vancouver House development.
2024 - MBA Games Win
UCW won the national MBA Games against 15 other Canadian business schools at Brock University in Ontario. The win came after UCW won the BC MBA Games in December 2023.
